JSC “Uzbekiston pochtasi”, Italian DoxeeSpA sign MoU on cooperation 

On April 1-2, 2019, the JSC “Uzbekiston pochtasi” held negotiations with the Italian company DoxeeSpA. The parties discussed the issue of phased modernization of the postal infrastructure of Uzbekistan with attraction of foreign investment and innovative technologies.

At the meeting, representatives of DoxeeSpA expressed their readiness to assist in improving efficiency of the postal service in Uzbekistan. As a first step, it was proposed to consider the possibility of radical expansion of the “hybrid mail” services using the DoxeeSpA software platform.

Negotiations with representatives of the company ended with signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in implementation of the DoxeeSpA hybrid mail system at the JSC “Uzbekiston pochtasi”. 

According to the Uzbek side, the advantage of the Doxee software platform is that it allows the mail to use various document delivery options: from paper form to electronic, from paper - to paper, from electronic - to paper, from electronic - to electronic form. Technical capabilities of the Doxee platform create conditions under which the postal operator not only performs, as before, the role of a transfer link of correspondence between the sender and the recipient, but also participates in generation of the documents necessary for a client.

Currently, consumers are accessing the DoxeeSpA platform and are dealing with a document in the form of a “web page” that can be read and, if necessary, receive inquiries, make changes, pay for and perform other necessary actions.

During the discussion, DoxeeSpA representatives noted that the transfer of universal postal services to an electronic basis presupposes the existence of necessary legal framework, taking into account that Post Office, as a third trusted party, is the only organization in the country that ensures the legal value of sent mail.
