Criminal case on the fact of beating an entrepreneur initiated in Tashkent

Recently, news on 34-year-old businessman Anvar Radjabov being beaten up went viral on social networks.

The press service of the capital's police department reported that the incident occurred in Uchtepa district.

“On the night of April 9, at about 1:30 am, the emergency unit of the Uchtepa district Internal Affairs department of Tashkent city received a report from emergency medical center that a man with injuries was delivered to a clinic. During the pre-investigation check, it was identified that on that night a quarrel had occurred between employees of workshops located in the building of the former taxi station No.2 on the 25th block of the Uchtepa district,” the police department said.

The 34-year-old entrepreneur, whose shop is located on the 3rd floor, came out and tried to reassure the workers. However, the employees of the workshop for manufacturing metal structures injured the man.

On this fact, an investigative department of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Uchtepa district initiated a criminal case under part 2, paragraphs “a”, “b”, “v” of Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
