Centers for telemedicine to be established in Uzbekistan
A number of telemedicine sessions in the regions of the country were organized by the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the leadership of Chairman Ravshan Izamov and partners from India. The press service of the National Chamber reports about it.
Online diagnostics was performed on medical equipment manufactured by Watch Witz Technologies Pvt Ltd (India).
Telemedicine sessions were organized in Jizzakh with participation of the Jizzakh region's khokim Ergash Soliyev and the city of Termez, where the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov took part.
During the telediagnostics, several patients were examined, the results of which were sent online to specialists located in India. On the basis of the findings of the examination, doctors diagnosed and prescribed treatment.
As this first experience has shown, the use of telemedicine with the involvement of high-class professionals not only allows doctors to examine and treat more patients, but also causes a very positive response from those who asked for help. The patients who took part in these sessions expressed positive feedback on the benefits of online telediagnostics.
As chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Health Rovshan Izamov noted during an interview, the online telediagnostics procedure will allow the citizens of Uzbekistan, without leaving the country, to receive necessary advice from the best foreign experts. This will allow patients to save time, money, and not to burden a person who needs treatment, a trip that also requires considerable physical strength.
The development of telemedicine in Uzbekistan will also expand the possibilities of medical tourism in the republic, attracting citizens of neighboring countries, such as Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
It should be noted that the cooperation of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of telemedicine with Indian specialists is based on the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed on March 5 of this year. In addition to the National Chamber, the parties to the Memorandum are WatchWitz Technologies Pvt Ltd (WTPL) and MedMonks LLC, an authorized representative of the Kread Foundation (India).
The document provides for a partnership of the parties in development of telemedicine and medical education.
This cooperation will allow developing innovative technologies in the field of healthcare in Uzbekistan, in particular telemedicine, to establish cooperation with leading foreign medical centers, clinics and universities for the exchange of work experience, conducting joint training and practical exercises in this direction.
As part of the agreement, it is planned to open a Telemedicine training center on the basis of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan using WTPL equipment.
Also, in order to implement this project throughout the country, the National Chamber plans to establish Centers for telemedicine in all territorial subdivisions.
