Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon discuss strengthening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan
Today, April 25, in Beijing, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
According to the presidential press service, the heads of state noted with deep satisfaction the positive dynamics of the Uzbek-Tajik multifaceted cooperation, which in recent years reached a qualitatively new level.
“Specific issues of cooperation in the trade-economic, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing mutual trade. Implementation of the agreements reached during visits at the highest level was also considered,” the press service said.

It was noted that last year was historic in the development of Uzbek-Tajik relations, which, thanks to mutual state visits, rose to the level of strategic partnership. It was noted that as a result of the measures taken, the volume of mutual commodity turnover has increased markedly, interregional and humanitarian ties are becoming ever stronger.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon expressed their determination to further strengthen friendly relations, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two countries.
