Uzbekistan appoints new Consul General in Shanghai

On April 30, 2019, the newly appointed Consul General of Uzbekistan Aziz Masutov, who previously served as head of the Department for Cooperation with the Countries of Eastern, Southeastern Asia and Oceania at the MFA, left Tashkent for Shanghai (China), the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

For information, the Uzbek consulate general is one of 385 foreign representations in China, and one of 77 foreign representations in Shanghai.

In addition to the consulate general, Uzbekistan also has an embassy in Beijing.

In the meantime, China maintains an embassy in Tashkent.
