Entrance exams to master’s programmes introduced changes

Amendments and addenda were introduced to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers “On the order of enrollment, transferring, reinstating and dismissing students in higher educational institutions”.

According to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the following are abolished at the entrance exams for master's programmes:

- Face-to-face interview with graduate students to determine their abilities and interests in scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities;

- “Computer Science and Information Technology” subject tests;

- “The theory and practice of building a democratic society in Uzbekistan” subject tests.

Applicants, who have IELTS (min. 5.5) or TOEFL iBT (72) certificates, will be exempted from the English language tests.

Earlier, the minimum English language test result requirements for master's programmes was 5 in IELTS and 58 in TOEFL.
