List of free services at railway stations defined
The list of free services at railway stations has been determined, the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee reported.
In accordance with the Rules for the carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo luggage by rail transport, collection of all types of additional charges for services rendered at railway stations and ticket offices not related to ticket sales is carried out in coordination with the antimonopoly body.
In order to clearly distinguish between paid and free services at railway stations and ticket offices, the Antimonopoly Committee, jointly with the JSC Uzbekistan Railways, approved the List of additional services provided to passengers at railway stations and en route.
Thus, according to the list, provision of trolleys, Wi-Fi in waiting rooms (up to two hours), trolley for the disabled, charging phones and laptops, as well as the services of a medical post and library, provision of tea, water, sugar and coffee en route must be free.
Services of advertising, packaging and storage of luggage, “VIP” hall, hairdresser and others can be performed on a paid basis.
