OSCE highly appreciates Uzbekistan’s current policy
Today, 25 June, a meeting was held between the Information and Mass Communications Agency team under the Presidential Administration and the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Thomas Greminger. The director of the Agency Komil Allamjonov reported about it on his Facebook page.
“During the conversation, we talked about President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s policy of openness, reforms carried out in all spheres, freedom of speech and the press in Uzbekistan. We discussed bilateral relations based on mutual trust and respect, as well as the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation,” Allamjonov writes.
It was noted that at the meeting organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, Mr. Greminger noted that he is aware of the changes and transformations being carried out in Uzbekistan. He also said that the OSCE highly appreciates these reforms and stressed that journalists should adhere to the responsibility and ethics of journalism.
Thomas Greminger praised the opportunity of access to foreign information resources in Uzbekistan. He expressed hope that the current policy will continue in the country and the OSCE is ready to become a reliable partner of Uzbekistan in all directions.
