International Cotton Advisory Committee to meet in Tashkent
On September 9-11, the 8th meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network, organized by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), will be held in Tashkent, the press service of the “Uztukimachiliksanoat” Association reported.
The event will be held within the framework of the “Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019”, organized for the first time by the “Uztukimachiliksanoat” Association on September 9-14. The week will be devoted to the textile industry of Uzbekistan and the world. Leading industry experts will demonstrate achievements of the industry.
The International Cotton Advisory Committee formed the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network ACRDN in 1999. Since then, seven network meetings have been held in Pakistan (1999), Uzbekistan (2002), India (2005), China (2008), Pakistan (2011), Bangladesh (2014) and India (2017).
The conference will bring together leading cotton researchers from both the public sector and world leading companies. It is expected that about 40-50 international experts from 6-7 countries will also attend the meeting.
It is noteworthy that participation in the event is primarily necessary for the timely receipt of information about the global cotton market, its development trends, as well as for declaring the position of countries, uphold their interests through active information exchange and development of partnership agreements.
