JSC Uzbekgidroenergo hosted a meeting with the American General Electric and Spanish Grupo Cobra companies.
At the meeting, the parties considered the issue of mutual cooperation in the field of construction and modernization of hydropower facilities. In particular, the current stage of construction and modernization of hydropower plants in Uzbekistan, the possibility of companies' participation in this process and involvement of international specialists were discussed.
The sides inked a memorandum of cooperation, which is aimed at introducing modern technologies into the process of building and modernizing hydropower plants.
The memorandum will serve to the development of the hydropower industry in the country and is aimed at boosting the cooperation between the parties in technical audit, development of project documentation, construction and installation works, equipment modernization, development of a concept and feasibility study of a project on the construction of high-voltage power lines of hydroelectric power plants located in the Tashkent region.
