Forestry fund lands may be rented for a period of up to 50 years

A draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been published on the portal of discussion of draft normative-legal acts.
According to the document, changes will be made to the law No.770-I “On forests” of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted on April 15, 1999.
In particular, as part of the amendments, “The lands of the Forestry fund may be granted to the citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of up to 50 years for possession, use, including renting on the basis of public-private partnership by the Forestry authorities”.
