Nestle Uzbekistan sells its enterprises to a French company
LLC Nestle Uzbekistan announced the sale of several its enterprises in the country to the French company Lactalis, RIA Novosti reports citing the press service of the company.
Nestle Uzbekistan has entered into an agreement with the company Lactalis and sells its business for the production of dairy products and water in Uzbekistan. The French company gets the rights to two Nestle factories in Namangan.
Reportedly, this will help Nestle to increase the efficiency of its operations in the Uzbek market in the long term. Lactalis will be able to produce global Nestle brands in Uzbekistan, such as Nesquik, Nido and Nestlé Pure Life waters.
JV Nestle Uzbekistan was established in 1999. At present, there are several factories in the structure of the enterprise. Two of them are located in Namangan – for the production of potable water (regular and sparkling) and dairy products.
