The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan commented on the condition of 69 compatriots hospitalized with signs of poisoning in the Samara Oblast.
“The duration of treatment can be up to 90 days. It depends on the individual characteristics of the human body. At the moment, patients are in a stable condition. They need blood purification. According to doctors, there are no problems related to shortage of medicines needed,” a representative of the Consulate General said.
On August 16, four patients, who were in serious condition, were transported by the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry special board to the National Hematology Research Center in Moscow for further treatment.
“The condition of the four people, who were transported to Moscow, is grave. They are all in the intensive care unit,” the diplomatic mission said.
The Consulate General also assured that the patients will not have problems with obtaining compensation and paid sick leaves, as all of the migrants have officially been employed.
The Investigative Committee and the prosecutor’s office are conducting investigations on this fact, but there are no specific conclusions yet, the Consulate General said.
It is also not yet established how the poisonous substance got into the human body: during the work or while eating. Laboratory studies of the poisonous substance are not yet completed.
