Uzbekistan announces state budget expenditures for H1 2019
On August 27, 2019, a regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis was held. Deputies reviewed the execution of the State Budget and budgets of State Targeted Funds for the first half of 2019.
According to the press service of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, revenues of the state budget in the first half of 2019 increased by 52.9% compared to the same period last year, the set plan was fulfilled by 108.9% and its share in the GDP was 22.8%. The country’s GDP amounted to about 222.0 trillion soums, which is more by 5.8% compared to a year earlier.
Parliamentarians have paid special attention to the expenditure of the State Budget. These expenditures (excluding the state targeted funds) are estimated at 55,266.3 billion soums.
At the meeting, it was noted that execution of the President’s tasks on implementation of major social projects, such as improving living standards, building affordable housing was the priority of the State Budget. Reportedly, 136.1 billion soums were spent for implementation of the 2019 parameters of “Obod qishloq” (“Prosperous village”) and “Obod mahalla” (“Prosperous mahalla”) programs.
In addition, 27,939.6 billion soums from the State Budget was allotted to maintain expenditures in the social sphere and social support of the population.
Following the discussion, it was decided to approve the report on execution of the State Budget and budgets of State Targeted Funds for the first half of 2019.
