Notaries allowed to remotely certify transactions
Citizens are given the right to notarize transactions using video-conferencing services, follows from the presidential decree.
The service is especially convenient when the parties notarizing transactions are in different regions of Uzbekistan.
As noted, the document comes into force starting from January 1, 2020.
The electronic form of notarized statements, leases and powers of attorney, placed in an open information system, will have the same legal force as the document in paper form.
In case of notarization of real estate transactions, verification of information on debts for utilities, the collection of which is the responsibility of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, will be carried out exclusively through the Bureau’s online information system.
In addition, it is possible to verify applications, leases and powers of attorney through a unique identification number when performing notarial acts. The parties are not required to submit paper-form documents.
Customers of notary offices will also be able to obtain copies of existing documents from the departmental notary archive through the Single portal of interactive state services.
