Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin to visit Uzbekistan

On September 16, the Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Russian parliament reports.
Within the framework of his visit, Volodin will meet with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The parties are expected to discuss the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
In addition, negotiations are planned with the heads of both chambers of the parliament - the speaker of the Legislative Chamber (lower house) of Oliy Majlis Nurdinjon Ismoilov and the chairperson of the Senate (upper house) Tanzila Narbayeva. The sides will sign an agreement on cooperation between the State Duma and the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
It is noted that the Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov and the Chairman of the Committee on Defense Vladimir Shamanov will also visit as part of the Russian delegation. Deputies will discuss with their counterparts interaction through specialized committees.
