Volodin comments on frequent visits of US representatives to Uzbekistan

The outcome of relations between the United States and its strategic partners in Europe served as an example for Uzbekistan in assessing the possible consequences of cooperation with Washington.

This was stated by Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, who visited Uzbekistan.

“People here are wise, literate – they understand what these promises can lead to,” the speaker said, commenting in this way on the frequent visits of US representatives to the region.

Volodin recalled that relations with Washington, which are more than strategic in nature, as a result brought Europe problems in the economy.

“For themselves, the Americans take energy resources at the same price, but for Europe they supply four times more expensive,” the Chairman of the State Duma said.

He also noted that the United States, at the same time, dragged Europe into sanctions wars against the Russian Federation, curtailed Russian programs that made it possible to use cheap energy, which was the foundation for the development of industry in Germany, France and other states.

At the same time, Volodin drew attention to the fact that now the heads of the EU countries have finally begun to recognize that Russian energy resources were the basis for the well-being of Europeans, but it was the States that initiated the end of these resources from flowing to Europe, and the Americans with their expensive resources began to replace them.

“We see the result. This is all understood by those who live in Asian countries, especially those who have always built relations with us on the principles of mutual respect, friendship and non-interference in internal affairs,” the speaker added.

Also, according to Volodin, during his visit to Uzbekistan, a very different range of issues is discussed. In particular, we have already touched upon such topics as common history, traditional values and cultural issues.

“We have a lot in common. For us, for example, it is unacceptable that they are trying to impose in the sphere of relations, trying to destroy the family, to impose new values. Therefore, when the Americans come, of course, in sheep’s clothing, but the wolf grin is visible, because everyone understands who came,” the Chairman of the State Duma concluded.
