Two residents of Samarkand die while extracting gold illegally
In the Pakhtachi district of the Samarkand region, two people died while extracting gold illegally.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, on September 17, three people, residents of the region, arbitrarily dug up gold in a mine located in the state reserve of the Karakuton mountainous territory in the Pakhtachi district.
Reportedly, a mountain stone collapsed on the men. As a result, two citizens died on the spot, one was taken to the district medical association with bodily injuries.
On this fact, the district prosecutor’s office is conducting investigative actions.
