Uzbekistan increases gold exports

Uzbekistan increased gold exports by 2.5% in January-August 2019 compared to the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Committee.
In January-August 2019, Uzbekistan exported gold for $3.9 billion.
At the same time, the share of gold in exports was 31.6%.
It should be noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has increased gold exports. It totaled $823.9 million in 2015, $738.2 million in 2016, $1.6 billion in 2017 and $2.91 billion in 2018.
In the first seven months of the current year, $3.4 billion worth gold was exported.
