Amount of fine for violating wedding ceremony order announced
The Justice Ministry of Uzbekistan has published a bill for public discussion, which provides for establishing penalties for violating the rules of organizing weddings, family celebrations, memorial ceremonies and other events.
In accordance with the document, people violating the order of holding such events will have to pay a fine in the amount of 2,230,000 million soums.
In case of violation of the order by the owners of restaurants, as well as banquet halls, a 6,690,000-soums fine will be applied. If the same act is committed repeatedly, the amount will increase to 11,150,000 soums.
It should be reminded that the order for holding such events was announced on October 5, 2019. It provides for:
– holding weddings, family celebrations, memorial ceremonies and other similar events between 06:00 am – 11:00 pm;
– restricting the number of invited guests to 200 people and to weddings that are organized in rural areas to 250 people;
– organizing funeral ceremonies maximum for three days (the number of guests is not limited).
