Journalist Davlatnazar Ruzmetov died in a tragic accident. The deceased's relatives have confirmed this to a Kun.uz correspondent.
On November 6, Ruzmetov was hit by a pickup truck in the Koshkupir district, Khorezm region. As a result of the injuries sustained, he died. Investigations are currently underway.
Davlatnazar Ruzmetov was born on April 24, 1971, and most recently worked as a correspondent for the newspaper “Jamiyat”.
On October 29, 2018, he was arrested while serving as deputy editor of the “Xorazm Yoshlari” newspaper and was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment by the Koshkupir district administrative court.
