Uzbekistan, Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia agree on cooperation in tourism
The State Committee for Tourism of Uzbekistan and the Center for Tourism Development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast (Russia) signed a memorandum of cooperation, the press service of the Uzbek Agency reports.
The document was signed during the XXV Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road”. During the event, the delegation of the Sverdlovsk Oblast made a presentation on the tourism potential of the Russian Oblast.
“At the end of the presentation, an agreement was signed between the Center for Tourism Development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast and the National PR Center under the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the report said.
Interaction between the two regions has been developing in many areas, including tourism. So, in April 2019, the national stand of Uzbekistan was presented at the VII International Tourism Forum “Big Ural” in Yekaterinburg.
Within the framework of the tourism fair, the first meeting of ambassadors of Uzbekistan’s tourism brand from 14 countries was also held. Russia is represented by the national artist Yuriy Stoyanov, and, for example, France – by the famous actor Gérard Depardieu, who has just been appointed for this honorary post.
