UzA director general equated to a minister on status

The director general of the National News Agency of Uzbekistan has been equated on status with a minister. The corresponding presidential decree was signed on December 2.
  
The document determines that the UzA director general and his deputies are appointed and dismissed by the Cabinet of Ministers in agreement with the President of Uzbekistan.
 
“The UzA director general is equated to a minister on status, conditions of remuneration, material incentives, medical and transport services, his first deputy and deputy, respectively – to the first deputy and deputy minister,” the document says. 

The director of the Information Agency of Karakalpakstan is equated with the UzA deputy director general on status, terms of remuneration, material incentives, medical and transport services.

In addition, UzA will create an advisory council to organize its systematic activities and establish effective cooperation with government bodies and non-governmental organizations. It will become a permanent collegial body, conducting its activities on a voluntary basis.
