Uzbekistan to create a portal of “Anti-plagiarism system”
In Uzbekistan, an “Anti-plagiarism system” portal, designed for scientists and researchers, will be created, the Ministry of Innovative Development said.
Recently, at the initiative of the Ministry of Innovative Development, a meeting was held with representatives of Plagiat.pl at Tashkent Financial Institute.
“The meeting was held at a high level. Introduction of anti-plagiarism systems and creation of a single database in Uzbekistan were discussed,” the report said.
It was noted that it is advisable to create a web portal containing the texts of scientific journals published in the country with the aim of organizing a single database of abstracts, articles, dissertations and assessing the results and effectiveness of scientific journals. This will serve to increase the scientific potential of the republic, to create the legal framework for combating plagiarism in the field of science and education, in the system of academic and higher education.
An agreement was reached on the introduction of an “Anti-plagiarism system”, which determines the originality, reliability of scientific publications and the formation of a Single National Citation Index, which reflects the rate of links to scientific articles. This, in turn, will serve to increase the citation rates of scientists by the Hirsch and RSCI indices, and increase the prestige of Uzbekistan in various fields of science.
The event was attended by the acting First Deputy Minister of Innovation Development Sharof Rajabbayev, as well as more than 60 representatives of educational, research institutions of the country.
