It was reported that the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office conducted an audit at the Republican Specialized Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Officials of the center have misappropriated 15.3 billion soums over the past two years. They did not transfer 13.2 billion soums in cash, derived from the paid services, to the bank. Also, wages of employees in the amount of 1.1 billion soums were not paid.
The head of the public relations and legal information department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Khayot Shamsutdinov told Kun.uz that a criminal case has been initiated and five officials of the center have been arrested.
Earlier, it was reported that the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology might be allocated a budget loan of 6 billion soums.
