State Assets Management Agency will develop proposals for the privatization of enterprises with a state share in the processing of cereal grains and raw cotton, follows from the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
This is done to reduce the role of the state and increase the investment attractiveness of the industry.
“State Assets Management Agency, before April 1, 2020, makes proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers on privatizing enterprises with a state share in the processing of cereal and raw cotton, resource support and the provision of services,” the document says.
Starting from March 1, 2020, a system of gradual specialization of the districts will be introduced based on the soil-climatic conditions and market conditions of the lands non-used in the production of raw cotton and cereals.
It is noted that a draft regulation will be developed to improve the mechanism of crediting and insurance in line with the strategic priorities and needs of the agricultural and food industries.
Also, before April 1, 2020, proposals for privatization of grain and cotton processing enterprises with state shares in, shall be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
