Uzbek students massively departing from Kazakhstan
The authorities of Uzbekistan recalling their students from Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, NewTimes.kz reports.
“We received an official appeal from the Uzbek side. This recall of Uzbek students is connected with the reform of the education system in the neighboring republic,” the official representative of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Aybek Smadiyarov said.
In addition, universities in Uzbekistan have increased the number of quotas and grants for their citizens.
“Now in Uzbekistan, additional conditions are being created for all interested Uzbek citizens studying abroad, mainly in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, to continue their studies at the place of residence, in their homeland,” Smadiyarov added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan reported that all students studying in neighboring countries can transfer their studies to Uzbekistan without exams.
Transfer of students from foreign higher education institutions to higher education institutions of the Republic is carried out on a tuition fee basis. The transfer period is until March 15.
