Finance Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov has commented on reports disseminated on the internet about the possibility of raising the retirement age.
It is not planned to raise the retirement age, Jamshid Kuchkarov wrote on his Twitter page.
“Recently, reports have appeared on the Internet and other sources, which state that the retirement age in Uzbekistan may increase. I have read several of them personally. I think it is high time to clarify this matter: currently, there is no plan to raise the retirement age,” the Minister of Finance said.
According to Jamshid Kuchkarov, the Ministry of Finance will provide more detailed information on the issue.
Earlier, the Pension Fund announced that the draft pension reform concept does not envisage increasing the retirement age.
