“Criminal case opened against 3 persons who violated quarantine rules” – Pulat Bobojonov
The Minister of Interior Pulat Bobojonov provided information about seven citizens, who violated the quarantine rules. Upon returning from Russia, three persons, who were placed in quarantine zones in Samarkand and Karakalpakstan, fled from the facility. Criminal cases have been filed against them.
“Some citizens are committing violations by breaching the anti-epidemic rules. They put themselves and others at risk instead of following the current regulations.
In particular, on March 16, 2020, citizen A. Ashurov (born in 1989) arrived from the Republic of Korea in Moscow, and then from there to Samarkand by train. He was taken under medical surveillance and placed to the Samarkand regional infectious diseases hospital. On the night of March 21, the man fled from the hospital, violating the anti-epidemic rules. As a result of search operations, he was detained in the Denav district, Surkhandarya region and placed under quarantine.
On March 18, citizen T. Eshov (born in 1954) arrived from Moscow in Tashkent by train. He was placed in quarantine at the “Dustlik” camp in the Samarkand district. Eshov also violated the anti-epidemic rules and fled from the quarantine zone on the night of March 21. As a result of search operations, T. Eshov was detained in his home, located in the Zarkent mahalla of the Parkent district, Tashkent region.
Moreover, citizen Sh. Ravshanov (born in 1990) arrived in Karakalpakstan by the “Moscow-Tashkent” train on March 19. He was taken under medical surveillance and placed to a hospital in Nukus for quarantine. However, this citizen also violated the anti-epidemic rules and fled from the hospital on March 21. Law enforcement bodies detained the offender in his residential building, located in the Zarchabek mahalla of the Shafirkan district, Bukhara region.
On the abovementioned facts, criminal cases have been initiated under relevant articles of the Criminal Code against the perpetrators. Investigative actions are underway,” the Interior Minister said.
According to Pulat Bobojonov, 4 people have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating the existing quarantine procedures and sanitation restrictions.
