Central Bank urges citizens to use online services
Khusankhoja Abidov, department head at the Central Bank, urged citizens to switch to using banking services online during the quarantine.
“Citizens continue to come to the bank for ordinary payments. We recommend using banking services remotely during the quarantine period.
The payment operations will be stored on the database of mobile applications and payment systems of banks,” Abidov said at a briefing at AIMC.
In addition, he noted that the lending practice of banks has not stopped and all types of credit services are provided.
“The bank will fulfill its loan obligations on time. However, given the current situation, banks are focusing on extending the period of loan repayment for their customers and reducing the debt,” he said.
According to Abidov, over the past week, commercial banks have extended the repayment period for approximately 10,000 loan agreements.
