Uzbekistan increased passenger car production 1.3 times in Q1 2020
In the first quarter of 2020, Uzbekistan produced 75,635 cars, which is 16,130 more compared to the same period last year, follows from the report of the State Statistics Committee.
Thus, compared to the same period in 2019, the production of passenger cars increased 1.3 times in the automotive industry.
In January-March 2020, 20,721 Nexia cars were produced (the growth rate compared to the same period in 2019 was 132.1%), 17,759 - Cobalt (138.4%), 14,459 - Gentra (138.5%), 12,970 - Damas (125.3%), 8,256 - Spark (173.4%) and 1,470 - Labo (74.1%).
In January-March 2020, 312 buses were manufactured in the republic – a 21.6% decrease in production compared to the corresponding period of 2019. The largest production volume in 2020 was recorded in March, amounting to 176 units.
The production of trucks amounted to 1,014. Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, the volume of production decreased by 23.4%.
