Health Minister of Karakalpakstan resigns
Doniyor Khojiyev has resigned as the Minister of Health of Karakalpakstan.
By the decision of the Presidium of Jokarga Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Otajon Khamroyev has been appointed the new Minister of Health.
Prior to his appointment, Khamroyev served as deputy chairman of the Jokarga Kenes.
Otajon Khamroyev was born in 1965 in the Ellikqala district. He graduated from Andijan State Medical Institute as a general practitioner, candidate of medical sciences.
He began his career in 1989 as an intern at the Nukus Emergency Medical Station. In 1990-1992, he worked as a therapist of the village medical post “Guldyrsin” at the Ellikqala Central District Hospital, then - the chief physician of this medical institution. In 1996-2002, he was a deputy chief physician of the Ellikqala Central District Hospital.
In 2002-2008, Khamroyev worked as First Deputy Minister of Health of Karakalpakstan, and later as Minister of Health of Karakalpakstan.
At the extraordinary fifth session of Jokarga Kenes, Khamroyev was elected deputy chairman of the Jokarga Kenes of Karakalpakstan.
