Kyrgyz-Uzbek border conflict: 25 injured, 2 in intensive care
As a result of the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border on May 31, at least 25 people were injured, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
It is reported that the injured were admitted to a hospital in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan.
“Four people with various injuries remain in the hospital, two of them have been placed in the intensive care unit, another two are in the surgery department. Their condition is moderate. 21 people are in satisfactory condition,” the Health Ministry said.
As noted, the conflict occurred on May 31 between residents of border villages of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan over water issues.
