Uktam Salomov appointed First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education

Prior to his appointment, Salomov served as rector of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering and in June 2019, he was appointed rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, replacing Kongratboy Sharipov.

To note, Kongratboy Sharipov, who became the First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education in May 2019, became rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics in November 2019. Since then, the post of the First Deputy Minister has remained vacant.
