Interior Ministry reported deaths of two officers. Allegedly, they died from coronavirus

In the last two days, two police officers died from coronavirus. According to Kun.uz source, the number of deaths among employees of law enforcement bodies since the beginning of the pandemic has reached three.

On July 13, Major Alokhon Shamakhmudov, deputy head of the Information Technology, Communication and Information Protection Department of the Tashkent city DIA, died at the age of 36.

On July 14, Lieutenant Colonel Shavkat Nafasov, head of the Migration and Citizenship Registration Department under the Interior Ministry, died at the age of 48.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the leadership of the Tashkent city DIA, expressed condolences to relatives and friends of the deceased. But the cause of death of these employees was not disclosed.

The Ministry of Health also did not register any cases about their deaths. The source said that official records point to other illnesses as the cause of their deaths.

The source also noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, three police officers have died as a result of the coronavirus infection. The first death in the internal affairs system was also not documented as being caused by the coronavirus. Since the deceased had many concomitant diseases, such diseases were cited as the cause of death.
