Car crash in Urgut claims lives of four people
In the afternoon of August 18, a major car accident occurred on the M-39 Tashkent – Termez road, passing through the territory of the Bakhrin mahalla in the Urgut district, Samarkand region.
According to “Adolat Sari” newspaper, the driver of ZIL truck, a resident of the Chalakurgon mahalla in the Jomboy district, crashed into a Cobalt car of a Tashkent city resident, travelling in the opposite direction.
As a result, the driver of the Cobalt and two of his passengers (also residents of Tashkent) died at the scene of the accident. The third passenger died later in the Urgut District Medical Association.
Other passengers of the car – two adults and one minor – were taken to the Urgut District Medical Association with severe injuries.
The police initiated criminal proceedings on this case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code.
