Children from low-income families to receive 426 billion soums in September
In September, in order to provide children from families in need of financial assistance and support, children with disabilities with winter clothing, school uniforms and school supplies, financial assistance in the amount of around 426 billion soums will be allocated. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a solemn event dedicated to the 29th anniversary of independence at the Kuksaroy residence.
“It is known that the main goal of our national independence is to ensure the dignity and honor of every person in our country. Continuing this noble work, we have raised the level of public policy to support low-income families and reduce poverty on the basis of the principle of social justice,” the President said.
It was noted that the number of people receiving social benefits has increased almost 1.5 times. By the end of the year, their number will increase from the current 774 thousand to 1.2 million.
“Twelve and a half trillion soums have been allocated from the state budget to support this category of the population and revive our economy. In recent years, a unique system of social protection has been formed in Uzbekistan, which provides for identifying needy families by visiting their place of residence.
On this basis, a total of 417 billion soums were allocated as financial assistance. In September, in order to provide children from families in need of financial assistance and support, children with disabilities with winter clothing, school uniforms and school supplies, financial assistance in the amount of about 426 billion soums will be allocated.
