UzAuto Motors has appealed to the Tashkent city administrative court against the decision of the special commission under the Antimonopoly Committee, MP Rasul Kusherbayev said.
It should be reminded that the committee asked the company to cancel the unreasonably high prices and instructed it to sell cars at reduced prices
The court will consider the decision of the special commission to reduce the unreasonably inflated prices for cars and return the excess money to consumers.
The trial is expected to take place on October 2 in the Tashkent city administrative court.
“We will see how independently the court hears the case and makes decisions based on the legislation,” Kusherbayev said.
It should be recalled that following the criticism from Rasul Kusherbayev and a group of other deputies, the Antimonopoly Committee filed a lawsuit against UzAuto Motors. The committee identified signs of violation of the Law “On competition” by the company.
At a meeting of the committee on August 19, 2020, an investigation by the special commission confirmed that the company had unreasonably increased car prices. Reportedly, the price of cars was increased from 3 million to 19 million soums. After the results of the study were made public, UzAuto Motors was told that it could appeal to the court against the decision to the special commission under the Antimonopoly Committee.
