Coronavirus cases surpass 53 thousand in Uzbekistan

“As of 10:00 a.m., September 23, the number of coronavirus infection cases in Uzbekistan stands at 53,051 (+194),” the statement of the Health Ministry reads.

It is noted that 101 new cases were detected in the city of Tashkent, 51 – in Namangan, 15 – in Andijan, 10 – in Samarkand, 8 – in Kashkadarya, 5 – in the Tashkent region, 4 – in Karakalpakstan.

So far, 49,224 people (93%) have recovered from the disease, 443 died. Currently, the number of active cases of infection is 3,384, the ministry says.
