Rakhim Rajabov dies aged 83
The first and last State Secretary of Uzbekistan, Rakhim Rajabov, died at the age of 83.

This was confirmed by the family of the deceased.
Rakhim Rajabov was born in 1937 in Bukhara. In 1960, he graduated from the Central Asian Polytechnic Institute in Tashkent (currently, Tashkent State Technical University).
From 1990 to 1997 he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of State and Deputy Prime Minister.
