Uzbekistan officially reports a case of reinfection with coronavirus
Nargiz Nurullayeva, a member of the Anti-Coronavirus Staff, reported that Uzbekistan has recorded the first case of COVID-19 reinfection.

“COVID-19 is a new infection, and the immune system produces antibodies against the virus. But it is not yet clear how stable the antibodies are and whether people can be re-infected with COVID-19. This problem is currently being studied,” she said during the briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.
Nurullayeva also reported that there are now cases of re-infection with coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
In many countries, experts and specialists now report about reinfection with the virus.
In Uzbekistan, however, the Ministry of Health had not yet recorded such cases officially.
Virologist Alexander Chepurnov earlier noted that immunity to coronavirus will be preserved for at least six months.
