“Non-communicable diseases account for 78% of deaths in Uzbekistan” – Shukhrat Irgashev
Non-communicable diseases account for 78% of deaths in Uzbekistan, the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Shukhrat Irgashev said.
“It has been observed that people who are overweight or have a concomitant disease, who do not pay enough attention to their health, face serious consequences when they are infected with coronavirus. On the contrary, people with a strong immune system and have a healthy lifestyle, regardless of age, overcome the virus quickly and easily.
Also, failure to follow a healthy lifestyle can lead to the emergence of non-communicable diseases. This includes cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, oncology and respiratory diseases. 78% of deaths in Uzbekistan are related to these diseases,” Shukhrat Irgashev noted.
“We need to establish a clear mechanism, a long-term system in order to prevent such diseases,” he said.
