Khorezm Shakar LLC has recently started mass dismissal of its employees. According to Kun.uz source, the plant has been shut down since July due to lack of raw materials.
It is noted that nevertheless, the staff has been paid so far. The reason for their dismissal is the lack of funds.
By the end of the year, Khorezm Shakar LLC may dismiss 1,200 employees.
Also, according to UzA, Angren Shakar LLC has recently started mass dismissals.
Reportedly, a total of more than 2,000 workers at the two plants are currently at risk of losing their jobs.
It should be noted that at a recent session of the Khorezm regional council of people’s deputies, it was stated that 30,000 tons of raw materials were imported from Brazil to the Khorezm Shakar plant, and there would be no shortage of sugar.
