Uzbekistan increases import of electric vehicles
In January-September 2020, Uzbekistan purchased 82 electric vehicles from abroad. This is 59 cars more than in the same period last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first nine months of 2020, 52 electric vehicles were imported from China, 12 from Korea and 17 from Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and Georgia.
It is noted that $2.1 million was spent on the purchase of imported electric vehicles.
Earlier it was reported that the domestic car manufacturer UzAuto Motors had increased the production of vehicles in the January-September period despite the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
