“Malika” shopping mall to be put up for sale
On October 27, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree on measures to accelerate the reform of state-owned enterprises and privatization of state assets.
In accordance with the document, the list of state-owned enterprises to be sold to the private sector was approved.
According to the decree, the Trade and Consumer Services Complex under the Tashkent city administration will also be privatized.
The total land area of the facility, located in the Shayhantahur district, is 41.4 thousand square meters. The area of buildings and structures is 13.8 thousand square meters. The complex is popularly known as “Malika”.
The State Assets Management Agency has been instructed to ensure that from November 1, 2020, the shares and real estate objects of the enterprises included in the decree will be put up for public auction.
If state-owned shares are not sold at public auction in three months at the assessed price of the real estate, their starting price will be re-determined on the basis of the agency’s proposal.
