Uzbekistan’s stock market capitalization exceeds $5 billion

In the first 10 months of 2020, 30,489 transactions with securities of 96 companies were recorded for 421.1 billion soums at the Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange. For comparison, for the same period in 2019, 25,305 transactions were carried out for the amount of 376.3 billion soums (increase in the number of transactions was 20.5% and in terms of volume in monetary terms – 12%). 

During January-October 2020, securities of 41 joint-stock companies were included in the quotation list of the stock exchange (in the same period of 2019, only 23 issuers were included). At the end of October 2020, the securities of 133 joint-stock companies were on the trading platform of the stock exchange, which was 25% more than a year earlier.
