New khokim appointed for Urgench

As the press service of the regional administration informs, the council of people’s deputies of Urgench held an extraordinary session, at which the former khokim of the Bogot district, Oybek Holboyev, was appointed khokim of Urgench.

He replaced Shukhrat Abdullayev, who had served at this post since December 2018.

To remind, in September 2019, Oybek Holboyev was fined for forcing people to harvest cotton. In August 2019, he received the medal “Sodiq Xizmatari Uchun” (For selfless services).

It was previously reported that Shavkat Yakhshiboyev had been appointed acting khokim of the Bogot district.
