Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover down by $4.8 billion
As of January-November 2020, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $32.9 billion, which is less by $4.8 billion (12.9%) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of exports in foreign trade turnover was $14.1 billion (down by 10.5%) and imports – $18.7 billion (down by 14.7%). During the reporting period, a passive foreign trade balance of $4.5 billion was recorded.
Of the 20 largest foreign economic partners, the active foreign trade balance was preserved with Afghanistan ($691.9 million), Kyrgyzstan ($555.1 million), Tajikistan ($276.6 million) and Iran ($33.8 million).
