Finance Ministry announces budget organizations receiving highest amount of funds to pay salaries
For the second half of December 2020, a total of 2 trillion 256.7 billion soums of wages and equivalent payments were paid to employees of budget organizations. The highest amount of funds were allocated to public education and the healthcare systems.
The Ministry of Finance provided information on salary payments to employees of budget organizations.
According to the ministry, for the second half of December 2020, 869.1 billion soums were allocated to people working in the public education system and 668.1 billion soums – to those who are employed in the healthcare system. Also, 166.7 billion soums were directed to employees of preschool education and 53.5 billion soums – to the Ministry of Culture personnel.
According to the list, a relatively low amount of funds were allotted to the Committee for the Development of Silkworm Breeding (21.5 million soums), the Hydrometeorology Center (33.7 million soums), the Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (121.3 million soums).
226.4 billion soums were allocated to employees of organizations that are not included in the list provided by the Ministry (relatively low-paid and others with low staffing).
The list does not provide information on payments to the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the State Customs Committee, the State Security Service, the judiciary and the prosecutor’s office.
