Salaries of internal affairs officers may increase
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with law enforcement officers at a meeting in Fergana.
According to a Kun.uz correspondent, the head of state said that a new decision is expected to be adopted, which may bring about an increase in the salaries of law enforcement officers.
“The cause of crime is unemployment. If we provide employment, crime will decrease on its own.
Who are the criminals, who are the ones who protect them? You have to find each and every one of them. Everyone must know that the rule of law is ensured and punishment is inevitable. Then the crime rate will decrease. You need to work systematically on this.
A new decision will be made soon. We will change the system, we will introduce innovations.
I am grateful to the police officers. They were able to prove themselves in ensuring our peace during the pandemic. That is why we are taking measures to increase their salaries, provide quality training and assistance,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
